IUI (Intra-Uterine Insemination)
This is a form of artificial insemination, a method used to treat unexplained infertility. Unlike IVF, this fertility treatment is less invasive and involves placing sperm directly into the uterus. IUI has a pregnancy rate of around 5% - 15%, but is age-dependent. The semen sample is washed and prepped so as to enhance the quality of the sperm, before being injected into the womb using a catheter.
